◆ Founded in 1901 when it was a simple station.
◆ During the Japanese occupation in 1922, it was expanded into a wooden station.
◆ In July 1951, it was renovated by the Taiwan Railway into a station of reinforced bricks.
◆ On March 5 1965, the Jhonghe Line branched out from the Banciao Station, and was renovated into a simple station in 1976.
◆ In 1981, the waiting rooms, ticketing office, and luggage offices were expanded.
◆ In 1985, the Banciao Switchyard was open for the operations of Huatung Province trains, which were under the jurisdiction of Banciao Station.
◆ In 1986, the ticketing office and some station facilities were expanded.
◆ On September 23 1990, the Jhonghe Line was dismantled.
◆ On January 20 1996, a cross-station temporary station was opened, in response to the Wanbio project for Banciao Station.
◆ On July 21 1999, the new Banciao Station was opened and relocated to the current locations.
