→Transfer Information
You can take a taxi to the spring area. It is around 8 kilometers and costs NT.200-250. The travelers who booked rooms can ask the hotels to send the shuttle or walk around 15 minutes to take Diing Dong bus (scheduled every 50 minutes per run) at the bus stop opposite to the police office. You can also rent a motorcycle or take the shuttle bus in the motorcycle rental shop in front of Jhihben station. It is also a good idea to take the taxi or join the tour package offered by the hotel.
》The tourist attraction：Jhihben Hot Springs and Forest Recreation Area
Jhihben Hot Springs Area is located in Beinan Township and a well-known tourist spot. If you come to Jhihben and don’t try the hot springs, it is like that you have not been in Jhihben. The hot springs here were found by the natives (Puyuma) in 1917. Since the hot springs is the tourist attraction, during Japanese colonized period, the public bathhouses and inns were built during Japanese colonized period, and the hostels and hotels emerged after War World
The fountainhead of the hot springs is in the foot of a mountain in the south river bank of Jhihben River. The hot springs gush automatically in whole year and belong to rare alkaline carbonic acid hot springs. The gushing spring temperature is around 60 to 100 degrees centigrade. The spring is clear without any flavors and can cure stomach and skin diseases.
Baiyu Waterfall is also called Baiyulong and located in the back of Jhihben Hot Spring in a distance around 600 meters. The height of Baiyu Waterfall is 50 meters. Baiyu Waterfall is like a crystal chain flowing rapidly from the cliff and like jades splashing and flying in the blowing wind. The blue stones and green tree around the waterfall make the scenery pure and clean.
There are 2 cliffs in opposition to each other in a distance around 2 kilometers close to Upper Jhihben Valley Hot Springs. The green tree is rich and splendid on the cliffs. The Hotel-Pensions are located there. Above the cliffs, the hot springs gushing. The scenery here is as magnificent as Taroko Gorge, and as modest as Taroko Gorge. It is the heart of Jhihben Hot Springs and Forest Recreation Area here.
It takes 3 hours to walk from Jhihben River Valley to Mudie Valley. In Mudie Valley, the river flushes and hits the huge stones. The scenery here pure and clean is like Shueilian Cavern, Huaguo Mountain in the novel so called Journey to the West.
