In 1967, Hsing Ta Cement Co. Ltd. applied for a feeder of railway in order to transport minerals. Than the cement factory was set up. The station yard of Nansincheng Station (Su-aosin Satation) started the business operation on April 15, 1968
The North Link Line construction with a total length of 82.3 kilometers started on December 25, 1973, and it was built from 2 ends which are the north end and south end simultaneously. It started from Nansincheng Station in the north. RSEA Engineering Corporation was in charge of the whole construction process with expected total construction process time period of 4 years (The North Link Line was completed on February 1, 1980).
Since the name of the Sincheng Station on the North Link Line was similar to the name of the Sincheng Simple Station managed by Nansincheng Station, the name of Sincheng Station on Yilan Line changed to Shenghu Station, and the name of Nansincheng Station changed to Nanshenghu Station by following the order of Department of Transportation on June 1, 1975. After the North Link Line was completed on February 2, 1980, Nanshenghu Station became the intersection of the North Link Line and Yilan Line. As the goods freighting and passenger service operation grew, Nanshenghu Station became the 2nd class station on May 1, 1981
In order to satisfy the locals requests and passengers’ convenience to distinguish the stations, the name of Nanshenghu Station changed to Su-aosin Station, and the name of Shenghu Station changed to Sinma Station on January 1, 1982 (Nansincheng Station on April 15, 1968→ Nanshenghu Station on June 1, 1975→Su-aosin Station on January 1, 1982). The new station yard started to operate on November 14, 2003.
